Package labels are a convenient way to manage inventory, and they make checkout easier on your budtenders. In conjunction with a scanner, barcodes eliminate common manual entry mistakes and generally speed up inventory counts. In this article, we will go over how to set up a package label, and the various options Growflow allows on your product label.

Package Label Overview

1. Click on Store Settings.

2. Select Print.

3. The Package Label subsection is at the top of the page.

Formatting the Package Label

1. Dimensions: This is where you will input the physical dimensions of the label you are using.

  • Width - Enter the width (in inches) of the label here.

  • Height - Enter the height (in inches) of the label here.

If you would like to switch the orientation of your label from landscape to portrait, swap these height and width values.

2. Margins: This sets the print margins on each side of the exit label.

  • Top - This setting controls the top margin of your exit label. It is recommended to start with a 0.1-inch margin and increase in size if needed.

  • Bottom - This setting controls the margin at the bottom of your exit label. It is recommended to start with a 0.1-inch margin and increase in size if needed.

  • Right - This setting controls the margin on the right side of your exit label. It is recommended to start with a 0.1-inch margin and increase in size if needed.

  • Left - This setting controls the margin on the left side of your exit label. It is recommended to start with a 0.1-inch margin and increase in size if needed.

3. Font Size: Enter the font size you would like to use for the label. We recommend starting with a font size of 8 and moving up or down as needed from there!
